Engr Folorunsho Olafemi has observed with regret the deplorable state of the Lawiri and Aso river bridge at Odo-Ere in Yagba West local government area of Kogi state.
The bridge which link Odo-Ere with Egbe communities has traumatized travellers and commuters plying the road.
According to Engr Olafemi, the bridge is as important as other federal roads that are receiving the attention of the Federal and State Governments.
He explained that the bridge connects to Ilorin in Kwara State and some parts of South East Yagba.
“The bridge as the connecting route between communities in Kogi, Kwara and Ekiti states can equally contribute to the state’s internally generated revenue.
“I call on the state and federal governments to commence immediate reconstruction of the bridge as it has caused the good people of Yagba Federal constituency untold hardship.
